In the first season, which released in April 2021, viewers were introduced to Tatsu’s new life as a househusband, where he navigated the challenges of domestic life with his wife Miku and their pet cat, Gin. The series was praised for its unique and humorous take on the everyday struggles of being a househusband, and for its lovable and relatable characters.
Season 2 will continue with Tatsu tackling new challenges and obstacles as he adjusts to his new role. In addition to dealing with the usual domestic duties, Tatsu will also face off against his former yakuza colleagues, who are not thrilled about his decision to leave the criminal life behind.
Written and illustrated by Kousuke Oono, the manga series was first published in 2016, and quickly gained a loyal and dedicated fanbase. In 2021, the series was adapted into an anime, which was produced by J.C. Staff, known for its work on popular anime series such as Toradora and Food Wars. The series was directed by Chiaki Kon, who directed anime such as Junjo Romantica and Higurashi When They Cry.
