Shah Rukh Khan tests positive for COVID-19
Superstar Shah Rukh Khan has tested positive for COVID-19. Further details on the same are awaited. It seems that the coronavirus has struck the Bollywood industry again! The development comes after several stars like Kartik Aaryan, and Aditya Roy Kapur’s COVID positive report came into the limelight. Not just them but even SRK’s ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ co-star Katrina Kaif has been infected with the virus. A media report stated that filmmaker Karan Johar’s 50th birthday bash played the role of a super-spreader event and has left over 50 guests infected with Covid-19. However, BMC KW ward’s assistant commissioner Prithviraj Chauhan told India TV, “Katrina Kaif came COVID-positive on 1st June while Kartik Aaryan on 4th June. The actor has also given the information through social media. It has nothing to do with the party of 25th May, only 2 cases have come, that too recently.”
Just yesterday, the actor took to his social media handles and shared the posters of his upcoming film by Atlee titled ‘Jawan.’ He wrote alongside, “It’s a special RC project that has seen its wait because of inevitable issues surrounding us.But a few good men worked hard & made it happen. Want to thank @_GauravVerma the Co-Producer, @Atlee_dir and their Jawans for making this dream come to life. Now… Good to go Chief…!”

Speaking about the report revolving around KJo’s birthday bash, it said that the list of those who contracted the virus is still unknown; it is learnt that it does include several renowned Bollywood stars. The portal even quoted a source, saying that “Karan’s close friends from the Bollywood film industry are Covid-infected after the party, although they are not revealing that they’ve tested positive.”
The source also told Bollywood Hungama that actor Kartik Aaryan, who was not present at Karan’s party, tested positive for Covid. “He got the virus from one of his heroines who were there at the party and with whom Kartik was promoting his film,” the source added.
Meanwhile, Kartik Aaryan while sharing the news of his COVID-positive report wrote on Instagram, “Sab kuch itna Positive chal raha tha,
Covid se raha Nahi Gaya.”
Coming to Katrina, she was to start shooting for Sriram Raghavan’s ‘Merry Christmas’ with Vijay Sethupathi last week. However, as soon as her COVID positive reports came, the shoot had to be rescheduled after her test results. This is the reason why she missed the IIFA awards ceremony where her husband Vicky Kaushal won the Best Actor award.
On the professional front, Shah Rukh Khan will next be seen in Pathaan, Jawaan and Dunki whereas Katrina has her much-awaited actioner Tiger 3 alongside Salman Khan and Emraan Hashmi in the pipeline.
