SHARP AQUOS S3 with 6-inch FHD+ display and Dual Rear Cameras Launched
Japanese Smartphone manufacturer, Sharp mobile has launched the ‘World’s Most Compact 6-Inch Smartphone’ the Sharp Aquos S3 in Vietnam. The smartphone comes with the price tag of TWD 11,990 ($ 412/ Rs. 26,710 approx.) and will go on sale starting from April 1st in Taiwan. It comes in only in Black colour option.

As per the company, the Sharp Aquos S3 is the ‘World’s Most Compact 6-Inch Smartphone’. It has a full-screen display with almost no side bezels and an iPhone X-like notch on top. However, the smartphone has a bottom bezel with company‘s branding on it. It has 91% screen-to-body ratio.
Sharp Aquos S3 Specifications
The Sharp Aquos S3 runs on Android 8.0 Oreo operating system with company’s custom Smile UX skin on top. It sports a 6-inch full-HD+ (1080×2160 pixels) display with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass on top. The smartphone is powered by a 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 octa-core processor coupled with Adreno 508 GPU. It offers 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.
For photography, the Sharp Aquos S3 sports a dual rear camera setup with a combination of a 12MP primary sensor with f/1.75 aperture, 1.4um pixel size and a 13MP secondary sensor with telephoto lens. It features 2x optical zoom, portrait shots, dual-tone LED flash and 6P lens. On the front, it has a 16MP selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture and AI-enabled portrait mode. The front camera also supports Face Unlock feature, it can scan 1024 facial points to unlock the phone in 0.1 seconds.
The smartphone is fueled by a 3200mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 support. Connectivity options include Dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, GPS/ A-GPS, and GLONASS. Sensors include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass, gyroscope, fingerprint sensor, magnetic sensor, and proximity sensor. There is also fingerprint scanner on the back. It measures 148.2×74.2×7.98mm and weight is 165.4 grams.
