There are 10 easy side hustles that Britons can start to try and support their income, new research suggests. As inflation sits at 9.2 percent, many people may be looking for ways to make some extra cash.
Research from Informi has found that as many as one in five UK workers say they have a second job on the side of their main source of income, with potential earnings of £4,992 over the course of a year.
Profits from a side hustle will depend on the amount of time you invest, but just one hour, five days a week, could help you earn anywhere from £175 additionally each month.
Huw Moxon, marketing manager at Informi said:
“Over the last year, regular pay has improved by 6.7 percent. However, consumer price inflation has grown at a rate of 9.2 percent.
“It’s no wonder more and more people are looking for ways to make money.”

Earning on average £15.52 per hour, they will convert written material from a ‘source language’ into the ‘target language’, making sure it conveys the meaning of the original as clearly as possible.
Tutor – £15.24 per hour
For those with extra knowledge, tutoring could be an option.
With the freedom to choose a subject, and control over the amount of hours people want to dedicate, they could earn over £3,000 additionally each year from an hour an evening.
Nanny – £11.08 per hour
This could be a possibility for those with free time in the evenings. They could support busy parents by assisting with childcare from meal preparation to bed time story telling.

This side hustle could earn someone around £11 per hour.
Mr Moxon continued: “It’s no surprise that with the Cost of Living crisis that many of us are looking for ways to make more money.
“There’s so much information available on how to get started, but the important part is to take the time to pick what side hustle best suits your lifestyle, goals, and the time you have available.”
The cost of living crisis is forcing many people to take on extra work to earn more money in order to pay for rising bills.
Working as a delivery driver for companies like Uber or JustEat, taking on freelance work or consulting, drop shipping or tutoring are just some of the ideas website My Millennial Guide has suggested.
The website explains: “E-commerce means selling goods online. If you are an e-commerce seller, you can sell everything from food items to books in order to make a profit.”
An average monthly income for this type of work is £123 but people can make up to £5,000 in a month.
Tutoring is also a good way to earn an extra income and Britons can sign up to a site like Skillshare or TaskRabbit to find work and bid on jobs.
