Sky is offering premium TV for free and the timing couldn’t be better

If you haven’t got enough things to watch this weekend then Sky might have the answer with the satellite telly firm offering a swathe of bonus content for free. Yes, the best Sky deals have just got better with the company giving away six months of access to Apple TV+ without customers paying a penny for the privilege.

If you weren’t already aware, Apple TV+ includes access to exclusive top-rated movies such as Coda and boxsets including The Morning Show, Slow Horses and Shrinking which can all be viewed on the biggest screen in your home as well as on smartphones and tablets.

The timing of this deal could also not be better as the third season of the award-winning Ted Lasso series has just launched on the streaming platform. This hugely popular comedy follows US coach Lasso as he tries to steer Richmond football club to Premier League glory.

Those wanting to tune into Apple TV+ usually have to fork out a £6.99 per month fee but some Sky users won’t have to reach for their wallets for six months.

Sky says that signing up is simple. Customers just need to sign up on Sky VIP via the My Sky app before 30th June to start enjoying all of the shows.

It’s available to all those with a Sky Stream box or a Sky Glass telly although there’s no mention of Sky Q so it’s worth checking your VIP app to see if it’s available.

If you’re new to Sky and haven’t heard of Sky Stream or Glass then these two new products offer instant access to shows, movies and sports without the need for a dish.

Sky Stream is simply a palm-sized device that beams things straight to your current telly and even comes with a backlit remote control and next-day delivery.

Sky Glass is a full smart TV which has everything built inside so there’s no need for a separate set-top box. Users are also treated to soundbar that’s tucked under the screen and full voice controls offer easy ways to pause live TV and find content without any fuss.
