Sky Mobile DOWN: No signal and no service network issues hit users

Sky Mobile down reports are on the rise this evening, with the telecommunications giant confirming “intermittent” issues with the service. Independent outage monitor Down Detector has recorded a huge spike in Sky down reports as users took to social media to report no signal and no service issues with Sky Mobile. At the time of writing, Down Detector has registered a peak of over 1,000 reports of Sky down.

While the official Sky Help Twitter account has confirmed mobile network service disruption has hit users today.

The account tweeted: “New: Sky Mobile.

“We are aware that some Sky Mobile customers are experiencing intermittent issues with their service right now. We are investigating the issue and we are sorry for any inconvenience this may be causing.”

As the reported Sky Mobile network issues struck users took to sites such as Twitter to discuss the problems they were facing.

One tweeted: “@SkyHelpTeam is Sky mobile down? No service!”

Another posted: “@SkyHelpTeam I have no service, I can’t make calls and have no internet connection??”

One added: “@SkyHelpTeam Guys, my mobile service is not working. Is there any idea when mobile data will be available again? Thanks.”

And another wrote: “@SkyHelpTeam What is going on? I’m on a bus and need to arrange a lift and have no signal or 4g?”

Replying to one affected customers, the Sky Help Team Twitter account said a fix is in the works for the problems affecting mobile users today.

The account tweeted: “We’re sorry for the issue, our teams are aware and are working on a fix.”

At the time of writing, Down Detector UK has recorded a peak of over 1,400 reports of Sky down.

According to the site’s stats, the areas where the most amount of Sky Mobile down reports are coming from include Birmingham, Glashow, Liverpool, London, Manchester and Sheffield.

Down Detector is an independent outage monitor which tracks social mentions to detect the moment popular services are taken offline.
