Though there have been otherJet Skyesports, South Asia’s premier Esports organizer has announced its next major initiative involving franchised teams in India.

The new tournament dubbed the “Skyesports Masters” will see eight franchised teams from India compete in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive to earn the biggest piece from the event’s Rs. 2 crore prize pool.

The upcoming LAN event will take place in Mumbai with a live audience, who will be supporting their favorite teams and players from the world of CS:GO.

Jet Skyesports has claimed that it is India’s first-ever franchised Esports tournament. Though there have been other franchised tournaments in India such as the Esports Premier League by India Today Gaming, Skyesports outlined that it believes a proper franchise should have sold all of its franchises.

The Skyesports Masters will begin with on-ground cafe qualifiers, which will take place in 20 cities across India. Jet Skyesports have partnered with local gaming cafes across the nation to find the next major CS: GO talents, who will be the torchbearers of the title’s Esports community in India.

The qualifiers will happen in major cities like Chennai, Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, and more. At the moment, Jet Skyesports has yet to divulge any details about the tournament’s schedule, and the locations where qualifiers will take place.

Following the qualifiers stage, the eight teams can then attract these talents to play for them alongside established Indian and International CS: GO players, who have been part of the game’s Esports scene for a while.

Once the rosters have been finalized, the eight teams will face off against each other in Mumbai on LAN, with the tournament being split into a league stage, and then playoffs. More details about the venue and ticket prices for the live audience will be revealed later. The event will also be broadcasted on official Skyesports YouTube channel in multiple languages.
