Sony PlayStation Store Top Downloaded Games of 2022 include Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, FIFA 23, and More

PlayStation Store has been releasing a blog post each month that details the top downloaded games for the previous month. This list contains 20 games for EU and US/Canada region across every platform they have: PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, PSVR and Free to Play. Last week, we got to see December 2022’s top downloaded games. Now we get to see the top downloaded games for the whole of 2022.

PlayStation 5

For the US/Canada region, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 finishes at the top, followed by God of War: Ragnarök, NBA 2K23, Elden Ring, and Madden NFL 23 respectively. For EU region, FIFA 23 finished first, followed by Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, God of War: Ragnarök, Elden Ring and Grand Theft Auto V respectively.

PlayStation 4

The story remains similar for PlayStation 4, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 again at the top for US/Canada region, followed by Grand Theft Auto V, Minecraft, Elden Ring and NBA 2K23. The story is pretty similar for EU region too as FIFA 23 finishes first again, followed by Grand Theft Auto V, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Minecraft and FIFA 22.

PSVR

For PSVR, both US/Canada and EU regions have the exact same games in the top 4. Beat Saber comes in first, followed by Job Simulator in second, then SUPERHOT VR in third and lastly Creed: Rise to Glory at fourth. The only difference is the fifth game, which is Swordsman VR for US/ Canada and Sniper Elite VR for EU.

Free-to-Play (PS5 and PS4)

For the last list, Fall Guys was the most downloaded free-to-play game of 2022 in the PlayStation Store for both US/Canada and EU regions. In terms of US/Canada, it was followed by Fortnite, Call of Duty: Warzone/Warzone 2.0, Multiversus, and then Overwatch. In terms of EU, Fall Guys was followed by Call of Duty: Warzone/Warzone 2.0, Fortnite, Multiversus, and then Overwatch 2.
