Sony has launched Bravia X80K television series in India. The new X80K series comes with Google TV. Sony has launched the new TVs in a range of sizes. These include: 189cm (75), 165cm (65), 140cm (55), 126cm (50) and 108cm (43) screen sizes. Sony X80K series runs on X1 4K HDR picture processor. The TV has support for Google and Amazon’s voice assistant’s Google Assistant and Alexa. The TV includes Chromecast built-in as well as support for Apple AirPlay.
Price and availability
Sony so far has announced the price of only KD-55X80K The TV is priced at Rs 94,990 and will go on sale starting May 20 2022 onwards. All models will be available across Sony Centers, major electronic stores and e-commerce websites in India.
Sony Bravia X80K smart TV series’ specifications
The new X80K series with come with the company’s proprietary Triluminos Pro display that is said to detect color from saturation, hue, and brightness to reproduce natural shades in detail. The smart TV models are powered by the Sony 4K HDR processor X1.
The TVs comes with HDMI 2.1 support, Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), Auto HDR Tone Mapping and Auto Genre Picture Mode. For audio, the Sony Bravia X80K models offer dual 10W speakers with support for Dolby Audio, Dolby Atmos and DTS Digital Surround. The X80K comes with ambient optimization technology with light sensor that automatically adjusts the picture brightness to room conditions, boosting brightness in light rooms and reducing it in dark ones so that viewers can get the perfect view.
With Auto Low Latency Mode in HDMI 2.1, the X80K recognises when a console is connected and powered on and automatically switches to low latency mode. Users can connect their TV with Bravia CAM. Sold separately, it can further enhance the viewing experience.
