Sony Xperia XA1 Ultra with 6” Full HD display launched in India at Rs 29,990

On Thursday, Sony has announced the launch of its new Xperia XA1 Ultra smartphone in India. The Xperia XA1 Ultra is a mid-tier phone at the price tag of Rs 29,990. The smartphone is now available in all Sony Center and major electronic stores across the country in Black, White, and Gold colour options.

Sony is also offering various offers on the purchase of the Sony Xperia XA1 Ultra to its customers-

  1. Users will get Quick Charger worth Rs 1,490 bundled in the box.
  2. Free subscription of Sony LIV app for three months.
  3. Rs 1,000 discount on the Style Cover Stand (original price Rs. 3,490) if purchased with the smartphone.

To recall, the Xperia XA1 Ultra was first announced at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, in February, alongside the XA1. Design wise, the Sony Xperia XA1 Ultra sports a metal body with prominent bezels at the top and bottom. The navigation buttons are on-screen, and there’s a single camera setup at the back.

Now let’s jump on technical specification, The Sony Xperia XA1 Ultra runs on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system and sports a 6” full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display. The smartphone is powered by a 64-bit MediaTek Helio P20 octa-core (quad core 2.3GHz + quad core 1.6GHz) SoC coupled with Mali T880 MP2 900MHz GPU and offers 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 256GB via microSD card.

One of a strong feature of Sony Xperia XA1 Ulta is its camera configuration, the smartphone is equipped with a 23MP camera with Exmor RS image sensor along with the features like hybrid autofocus, 24mm wide-angle lens, f/2.0 aperture, 5x zoom, and HDR mode and LED flash. On the front, it is having a 16MP camera with Exmor RS sensor along with smart selfie flash, 23mm wide-angle lens, f/2.0 aperture, OIS, and autofocus.

The Sony Xperia XA1 Ultra is powered by a 2700mAh battery with Quick charge support, the company claims that with QC-3.0 charging the phone can be charged 60 percent in 45 minutes. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, LTE Cat6/4, GSM GPRS/EDGE (2G), and UMTS HSPA+ (3G), Bluetooth v4.2, WiFi, NFC, GPS + GLONASS, Google Cast and USB Type-C port. The phone measures 165 x 79 x 8.1mm and weighs 188 grams.
