Soul Hackers 2 x Persona 5 Crossover And Limited Edition Detailed

0

Atlus has officially announced Soul Hackers 2 after a countdown, and while the new Shin Megami Tensei spinoff got a worldwide release date on all platforms but Nintendo Switch, in Japan, the game also got a special Persona 5 crossover rolling around.

Atlus aims to revive the Devil Summoner series with a sequel to Soul Hackers and bring it to new heights. Just like with Persona, the game’s official title dropped the Shin Megami Tensei prefix, only going by Soul Hackers 2. This shows the series is striving to obtain some independence from its grandad, and maybe reach the same popularity level as Persona 5.

You’ll also notice after checking out the reveal trailer, further down below, that Soul Hackers 2 has a distinct Tokyo Mirage Sessions feel to it, which makes perfect sense as the two JRPGs share the same core staff.

The reveal trailer for Soul Hackers 2 introduced its female protagonist Ringo, a hacker leading a team trying to save the world from a demon apocalypse, as part of an organization named Aion. In Japanese, Ringo is voiced by Tomoyo Kurosawa, a seiyuu you often find in idol-themed franchises. Tomoyo Kurosawa most notably voiced Arisugawa Otome in Aikatsu, Garara in PriPara, and Sothis in Fire Emblem: Three Houses.
