Fabian Coulthard has confirmed he’ll re-join the Stan Sport commentary crew at the upcoming SpeedSeries round at Queensland Raceway.

Earlier this year, the Repco Supercars Championship veteran switched to the Supercheap Auto TCR Australia Series, driving a Wall Racing-prepared Honda Civic Type R.

Carrying Stan Sport backing, Coulthard has thus far contested three of the four rounds to date – winning twice at Phillip Island.

Having dovetailed his racing duties with a commentary cameo at Sydney Motorsport Park season-opener, the forthcoming SpeedSeries round will see Coulthard focus solely on broadcast duties.

Coulthard said he is eager to return to the driver’s seat but is keen to delve further into the world of television.

“It’s great to be back with the SpeedSeries commentary team, but a shame that I will not drive the Stan Sport Honda at QR,” Coulthard said.

“I really enjoyed the three rounds that I did in TCR Australia, and I hope that I can come back to the class and do some more.

“It’s a great category and it has so much potential here in Australia and around the world.”

Fellow racer Molly Taylor will also form part of the commentary line-up alongside iconic voices Matt White and Greg Rust.

“It is cool that I will still be at the track, doing some commentary with the likes of Matt White, Greg Rust, Molly Taylor and the entire team,” said Coulthard.

“I really enjoyed Sydney. It certainly made my eyes more open to this side of the business and I can’t wait to pick up that microphone again.”

The Supercheap Auto TCR Australia Series headlines proceedings at Queensland Raceway across August 5-7 for what will be the fifth round of its calendar.

Turtle Wax Trans Am will play support as well as Fanatec GT World Challenge Australia Powered by AWS, Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge Australia, the Australian Production Car Series, GC Marine Australian Prototype Series and Radical Australia Cup.

SpeedSeries coverage will be live and ad-free, exclusively on Stan Sport with a bumper 12 hours of broadcasting across Saturday and Sunday.
