In a recent interview, Sushmita Sen got candid about how she had come close to getting married three times, but it did not work out for her. The actress, however, makes it clear that the reason behind her broken relationships is not her two daughters, Renee Sen and Alisah Sen. The actress quipped that it was God that saved her those three times.
In an earlier interview with Twinkle Khanna, the actress revealed a thumb rule that she follows for her relationships. She said, “I don’t want anybody to come and share the responsibility but never try and ask me to step away from it.”
Throwing light upon her thoughts on marriage, she said, “Luckily I met some very interesting men in my life, the only reason I never got married is because they were a let down. It had nothing to do with my kids. My kids were never in the equation. If at all, they have been very gracious. Both my kids have accepted people in my life with open arms, never made a face. They have given everybody equal measure of love and respect. It’s the most beautiful thing to watch.”
The actress also joked that she came close to getting married thrice, but God saved her all the times. She added that there were disasters that followed in the men’s personal lives. She believes that God protects her also because God protects her two kids and does not allow her to get into messy affairs.
