Task Manager in Windows 11 to soon get a search bar

In pursuit to update the user interface and matching the design and aesthetics of Windows 11’s Fluent design, Microsoft has updated almost all its first-party apps, including Task manager with the Windows 11 22H2 update.
While, the redesigned Task manager is simple to use and also offers better usability and experience, one feature that’s still missing is the Search and Microsoft seems to be working on that front as well.
Windows Latest has reported that Microsoft has started testing a search bar for Task manager in a preview build of Windows 11. The search bar will allow users to search for a program, process or publisher and manage it.
Currently, the Task Manager on Windows 11 does not include a search option which means users require to manually scroll through the running process list to find something and manage it which makes it a little cumbersome for users. With the addition of the search bar, Microsoft will make things easier to find.
As per the report, the search bar will be placed at the top area of the Task Manager. Also, the search bar will automatically show results for the keyword. However, reports claim that users will require to enter the exact process name or ID otherwise the search bar won’t work.
It is expected that Microsoft will add the search bar in Task Manager in the coming weeks/months before the Moment 2 update rollout which is expected to arrive earlier next year.
