Nexon’s Jet edition will carry a starting price tag of Rs 12.14 lakh (ex-showroom). The Harrier will start at Rs 20.90 lakh (ex-showroom). For Tata Safari, the Jet edition has a starting price of Rs 21.35 lakh.
Tata Motors says it has drawn inspiration from business jets to come up with this new range of offerings.
“The Jet Edition range would strengthen the company’s SUV portfolio as has been done by the earlier introduced special edition trims,” Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Vice President (Sales, Marketing and Customer Care) Rajan Amba said.
The new offerings will be available from today at all authorised dealerships of the company.
The JET edition will be marked by new interior/exterior design and will have best-in-class features.
The new models come in a dual-tone combination — an earthy bronze body and a platinum silver roof. There will also be an alloys painted edition with Jet black and silver skid plates at the front, the company said.
The redesigned interiors are dual-tone — Oyster White & Granite black. Features include ventilated seats, electric sunroof with tilt function and an air purifier with AQi display.
Nexon’s Jet Edition has a wireless charger as well. Harrier and Safari, on the other hand, will have a USB Type-C charger in all rows.
Nexon will have two engine options – a 1.2-litre
petrol engine capable of producing 120 bhp of power and 170 Nm of torque, and a 1.5-litre turbo diesel motor that can deliver 110 bhp and 260 Nm.
Transmission will include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic.
Harrier and Safari will have ESP safety functions such as driver doze-off alert, panic brake alert, and after-impact braking.
