Tata Motors price hike: Tata Motors hikes passenger vehicle prices by 0.55%

As input costs continue to rise, India automotive giant has decided to hike the prices of its passenger vehicles. The 0.55% price increase will come into effect immediately.

“A weighted average increase in price of 0.55% will come into effect starting Saturday across the range, depending upon the variant and model,” the auto major said in a statement.

Tata Motors said that the company had made all attempts to absorb the rising costs before taking the decision to hike consumer rates.

“However, to offset the residual impact of the accumulated increase in input costs, it is passing on a minimised price hike,” the statement added.

Tata Motors has previously hiked the prices of its commercial vehicle range by 1.5 – 2.5%
