The Last of Us Part 1 for PC’s Latest Patch Addresses Major Bugs Including One in Which Characters Get Randomly Wet
Two weeks into the launch of The Last of Us Part 1 on PC, developers Naughty Dog has released the biggest patch fix for the game. Shortly after the game launched, the internet started flooding with reports of the performance issues and other problems with The Last of Us Part 1’s PC port. Naughty Dog has been addressing the concerns of players over the last two weeks, however the latest patch note released on April 7 is the biggest one till date. The Last of Us Part 1 on PC gets its biggest patch till date
With the latest patch for The Last of Us Part 1’s recently launched PC port, Naughty Dog has addressed multiple crashes, gameplay and UI issues, as well as problems with performance. This also includes the notorious bug that causes characters to appear wet in the middle of the gameplay.
Other major improvements would be for the bugs that affected the quality of the graphics tremendously. Naughty Dog mentions this in the patch notes with “Fixed a gap in geometry visible during gameplay” and “Fixed an issue where animations may fail to load during gameplay.” Water FX appearing “choppy during gameplay” has also been addressed in this latest patch note.
A new patch for The Last of Us Part I on PC is now live. Patch 1.0.2 addresses some crashes, improves performance in some areas, and fixes several gameplay and UI issues including some animation, texture, and lighting bugs.

Naughty Dog informs of more fixes coming in the future
Naughty Dog has also tweeted that the developers, in association with their partners at Iron Galaxy are “continuing to watch and investigate player reports.” The tweet also mentions about more improvements coming up in the future including a “mouse jitters fix.” You can check out the complete list of issues currently under vigilance at Naughty Dog right here, in their Known Issues page.

While the internet is visibly frustrated with their experience of playing The Last of Us Part 1 on PC, some others have been making fun of the distorted graphics due to the bugs, that make no sense in the gameplay. As Naughty Dog has now addressed some of these major issues, it now remains to be seen if the game’s rating rises after positive feedback from players. After all, redeeming a game with time is not a story untold.
