The Mandalorian Actor Shares Heartfelt Moment With Son After The Young One Debuts As Extra On the Show

Disney’s The Mandalorian returned this month with a third season, giving plenty of new content for fans, such as new information about the Darksaber and the people of Mandalore.

In Chapter 19 of The Mandalorian, titled ‘The Convert’, actor Omid Abtahi, who plays Dr. Pershing, revealed that his son was an extra in the episode. His son played one of the children in Coruscant when Abtahi’s character was with Elia Kane.

In a heartfelt post on Twitter, Abtahi recalled a conversation he had with his son after his debut in the show. His son told him that “Coruscant is real” and that he was happy to be part of the Star Wars universe.

My son got to work as an extra on set.

After kissing him goodnight that night and turning off the light:

Son: Hey daddy?
Me: Yeah baby?
(beat)
Son: Coruscant is real. I’ve been there.
Me (teary eyed): Yes you have baby.
