The Pokemon Company Donated $200,000 To Support Ukrainian Citizens

The hostilities between Russia and Ukraine wage on and there is no news as to when this altercation would end. The citizens of Ukraine are going through the hardest time of their lives and are looking for all the aid and support they can get. Influential people, business tycoons, politicians, and organizations alike have joined in the effort to provide the people of Ukraine with all the support possible.

The most recent big-name company that has become a part of this humanitarian effort is Pokémon. Yes Pokémon, the beloved show and game from everyone’s childhood has come up once again to provide joy and relief to whoever they can and this time they are showering their love towards the people of Ukraine.

Pokémon just released a statement on Twitter through a post, informing the people how the organization feels about the situation and what they are willing to do to help it. Here is what they had to say:

“The growing crisis in Ukraine and Eastern Europe, which continues to cause the displacement of families and threaten the safety of children, is heartbreaking.

The Pokémon Company International is making an immediate donation of $200,000 USD to our partners at GlobalGiving to provide humanitarian relief. The non-profit will efficiently direct the funds to community-led organizations supporting families and children affected by the crisis.

GlobalGiving is an organization that helps connect donors, non-profits and companies from all around the world. They help these organizations to access funds, training and other resources needed to serve the distressed communities. They have set up a featured section for the Ukraine Relief Fund on their website, so that any one can just hop on and donate if they wish to do so. The goal of this relief fund is to reach the $7,000,000 mark and they are just $2,582,509 shy of completing this goal. The relief fund will help the people of Ukraine with:
