There Are Now 1000 Pocket Monsters to Find if Players Want to Catch ’Em All; the Franchise Shares a New Tribute Video
For over 26 years, the Pokémon franchise has entertained us through many of its iconic moments, involving both the trainers and the Pokémon themselves.
From Ash’s unbreakable friendship with Pikachu to the legendary battles the duo has faced, with Ash finally becoming a World Champion last year, the series has seen it all. While the franchise will make a major change this year with the departure of Ash as the main protagonist, the series will continue with new characters and Pokémon.
The Pokémon Company hasn’t seen any drop-offs, as it continues to unveil new characters for players to catch in many of the game’s iconic regions. And the creativity has continued for so long that the recent additions with Generation 9 in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet has seen the number of Pokémon cross the 1000 mark.
26 years after the release of the original Pokémon games—Pokémon Red Version and Pokémon Green Version in Japan—the number of Pokémon discovered has finally surpassed one thousand! 🥳
