Twitter is working consistently to make its platform spam free. Today, Twitter has taken a big step towards its vision to make its platform spammers free. Twitters restricts its users to follow the number of accounts per day from 1000 per day to just 400 per day. This step has been taken just to stop spammers to increase their network by following and unfollowing Twitter accounts in an aggressive and bulk manner.
Twitter has made this announcement today via their official Twitter Safety handle. I a tweet, the company’s says users can follow a maximum of 400 accounts per day. Prior to this, users were permitted to follow a maximum of 1000 twitter accounts per day.
Follow, unfollow, follow, unfollow. Who does that? Spammers. So we’re changing the number of accounts you can follow each day from 1,000 to 400. Don’t worry, you’ll be just fine.

However, this limit doesn’t affect your overall follow counters. Moreover, if you have a verified account, you can still follow a maximum of 1000 users per day.
In addition to the official tweet, Twitter also updated this change in its Help Center. Twitter makes it clear that abusive actions are prohibited and violation of these rules may lead to permanent account suspension.
