John Fury has told Tyson to never give Anthony Joshua an opportunity to fight for his world title again after negotiations to stage their all-British showdown broke down a few weeks ago.
The pair were scheduled to square off on December 3 at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales but discussions between George Warren and Eddie Hearn fell through after Hearn claims Warren stopped responding to his requests.
Both parties had been sending marked-up contracts back and forth in an attempt to agree upon a final set of terms that appeased everyone involved, however, talks began to slow significantly in the crunch stages. Warren states that the substance of the communication he was receiving from Hearn was lacking and blames Matchroom for the whole debacle.
John sits in the same boat and believes Hearn and Joshua didn’t want the fight. “What can I say about those people, they have been offered everything across the board, Tyson would have fought for free if he wanted it,” Fury told iD Boxing.
“Listen, they’re going to say what they’re going say, Eddie Hearn will come out with all that fancy Dan chat and deceive and blind everybody with his skilful words, but the skilful words aren’t fighting are they? He should have fought, nothing to lose, and everything to gain, but let me tell you their egos are bigger than them.
“I said to Tyson, never ever give him a title shot, don’t give him nothing no more because they’ve had their chance with the big Gyspy King, let them do one, let them jog on, enough said about them anyway. Let’s talk about some people that want to fight.”

Like his father, Tyson has lost all hope in a fight with Joshua. When asked whether he thinks the bout will ever happen, he told Behind The Gloves: “Nah. I’ve tried to make this fight for about four years and there’s always been something stopping it.
“If they’re not gonna fight, they’re not gonna fight, I’m not gonna waste any more time.”
