Tyson Fury vs Derek Chisora 3 LIVE: Fight updates from WBC world title clash at Tottenham | Boxing | Sport

Old rivals Tyson Fury and Derek Chisora collide on Saturday night at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in front of 60,000 supporters as the pair look to serve up a memorable heavyweight trilogy clash. The bout has been heavily scrutinised given the one-sided nature of both of the Gypsy King’s previous victories over Chisora in 2011 and 2014 but he was willing to give his old foe another shot at glory as the 38-year-old veteran closes in on retirement.

Fury’s WBC heavyweight world title will be placed on the line as he looks to move closer to an undisputed clash with Oleksandr Usyk in 2023.

Negotiations between the two champions broke down several months ago in the aftermath of Usyk’s successful title defence against Anthony Joshua in Saudi Arabia in August before Fury and his team moved onto the prospect of an all-British matchup with AJ.

But to Fury’s frustration, Joshua and Eddie Hearn stalled on the deal before Frank Warren drafted in Chisora to save their December date at Tottenham with the Gypsy King desperate to remain active after U-turning on his decision to retire.

Chisora remains confident he can upset the odds despite his undeniable underdog status. He will need to pull off something spectacular if he is to somehow edge the Gyspy King in north London with Fury arguably in the best form of his career.

The WBC champion is still yet to taste defeat in 33 bout (32 wins, one draw) after previously stopping Dillian Whyte at Wembley Stadium in April with a thunderous sixth-round uppercut.

Meanwhile, Chisora is no stranger to a defeat having lost 12 times in 45 outings since making his professional debut way back in 2007. He bounced back from three consecutive defeats to Usyk and Joseph Parker (twice) by outpointing Kubrat Pulev in London in July.

The two Brits have both agreed to stay in the middle of the ring and stand and trade come the sound of the first bell. Whether they will stick to that promise remains to be seen.

Daniel Dubois is also in action on the undercard when he defends his WBA world interim heavyweight world title against Kevin Lerena.
