Valhalla Final DLC Features a Surprising Connection With the Upcoming AC Title, Mirage

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla recently released the game’s final DLC titled “The Last Chapter,” which arrived alongside the game’s release on Steam.

The update features a fitting end to Eivor’s saga following two years of post-launch content from the developers at Ubisoft Montreal.

With no more new content to try out in Valhalla, players have begun looking forward to the franchise’s next title in Assassin’s Creed Mirage, which takes the story to Baghdad.

And the progression between the two stories will be seamless, as the developers have added a rather surprising connection to Valhalla with The Last Chapter DLC.

Earlier this year, we saw the first footage of Mirage, featuring its protagonist, Basim. While players expected to see Basim enter the Norse saga of Valhalla, it was his mentor, Roshan who shows up to Eivor.

Ubisoft has since announced that more details about the two sagas will be revealed in the Shared History quest, which pits Mirage as “a flashback tale,” according to a recent Eurogamer report.

Mirage was unveiled to great fanfare few weeks ago, with a launch year of 2023 revealed by Ubisoft. However, according to Insider Gaming sources, players should expect to see Assassin’s Creed Mirage arrive sometime during August 2023, and it will be interesting to see if the release window might change sometime in the near future.
