Sega’s Valkyria Chronicles was previously announced to come on Nintendo Switch, and yesterday, Valkyria Chronicles Original on Nintendo Switch and along with its trailer has been launched.

Valkyria Chronicles is a tactical role-playing game developed and published by Sega. It has originated on the PlayStation 3 back before in 2008, and its latest entry for the series was released last month on September 15, the Valkyria Chronicles 4.

Before the launch of Valkyria Chronicles 4 at the PAX event in September, Sega already made an announcement that the original Valkyria Chronicles will arrive Nintendo Switch, and take note, it is the original game that they were talking about, and would become digitally available on the 16th of October, and that’s what exactly happened.

On the released trailer, we can already see some of its features such as commanding your troops wherever you go through the versatility and portability offered by the Nintendo Switch.  The story will be taking place during the Second Europan War, it will follow the story of Lieutenant Welkin Gunther of Squad 7 fighting to the invasion of the East Europan Imperial Alliance.

We can also see some unique features of the Valkyria series including the hand-drawn watercolour aesthetics of the CANVAS shader with the innovative tactical BLiTZ battle system offering a hyper gameplay experience.  The expertly-crafted soundtrack in the battlefield was made by the series composer, Hitoshi Sakimoto.

The game is now available for $20, but you can get it at a cheaper price of $15 if you have your own Valkyria Chronicles 4 on Switch digitally.  The Switch version of the game is packed with all of the DLC for the original game.

The original Valkyria Chronicles is also available on PS3, PS4, and PC, and Valkyria Chronicles 4 is now available on PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC.  Stay tuned with TechnoCodex to get its latest updates.
