Valorant and League of Legends Dev Riot Games Hacked, As Studio Confirms Delays in Content Update Releases

Riot Games, the popular video game studio behind hit titles like Valorant and League of Legends, has confirmed that it has been hit with a “social engineering attack.”

The company made its statement through Twitter, where the developers revealed that the systems in their “development environment were compromised.”

At the moment, the studio is looking to find the cause of the attack, while also finding the perpetrators behind it. Furthermore, Riot has also clarified that it is looking into whether any personal info of the game’s userbase has been compromised.

As the hack has seemingly affected the studio’s development environment, Riot might be delaying some of the content releases for many of its hit titles.

Because of these issues, the team behind League of Legends has already confirmed that Patch 13.2 might be delayed, with things like the Ahri ASU moved to Patch 13.3, which releases on February 8.
