Valorant players have been stirring a lot of controversies lately. One of the latest cases we heard was about a woman that stabbed and killed her sister in her sleep because she was flirting with her boyfriend. Now a new issue has come up and this time it does not surround players, but a coach of a popular Valorant esports team, Rising Hope, which was previously known as Nigma Galaxy Female.

Recently, all the female players of Rising Hope quit the team simultaneously, leaving only the coaches to build a new team. Rising Hope announced that they were saying goodbye to their entire Valorant line-up and appreciated and thanked them for the great job they had done. They also stated that Simons and mdvjk, the coaches of the team will remain in the organisation and will be pivotal in the formation of the new Valorant line-up.

Later on in a surprising turn of events, Jehiel, the former head coach about the team, came clear about the reason for the whole team quitting for the sake of transparency. In her statement she stated that she and the whole team decided to quit unanimously due to the trauma that was caused by Simon. Sometime before the Elite competition, after the discussion and planning, Simons randomly stated, “Hey Wway call me and show me your dick.” Jehiel called him out instantly and asked him to refrain from such comments.

After this issue, the team started holding their training and scrimmage sessions in private, without the presence of Simons and mdvjk, and to keep them updated, the recordings of the gameplay was sent to them. On September 27, 2022, Simons requested to watch one of the training sessions. The start was calm and no incidents occurred for the first fifteen minutes. Post that Simons started shouting in his native tongue, which caused a lot of confusion and hampered with the player’s concentrations. After that, he again stated the same comment, “Wway call me and show me your dick.” As soon as he was called out for this, he switched on his camera and showed his private parts to the entire team.

It was later found through the recordings that Simons was seen consuming alcohol during the scrimmage and acted inappropriately multiple times. This incident was enough the tip the entire team over and they contacted one of the co-owners of Rising Hope, Lazar, to take action against Simons. At first Lazar was reluctant to let him go, stating that Simons was one of the big names in the team, but later on he agreed with the team and stated that Simons will not be the coach of the team in the future. Check out the full statement by Jehiel below:

This is not the only issue that Simons has faced in the past, Ivan Shevtsov, one of the primary trainers for Fennel and a Ukrainian citizen, also called out Simons earlier for his hurtful statements against the Ukrainians. Another Valorant player, Zeek, also stated that Simons organised a tournament back in 2020, but bailed before paying out the prize money to the players. We have reached out to Riot Games for a comment on the situation.
