The nominations for the 65th Grammy Awards featured the biggest names from the music industry. From Taylor Swift to Drake to Adele, the list was packed with talented musicians, producers, songwriters and more.

However, from the 91 different categories, gaming fans mostly peeled their eyes for the “Best Score Soundtrack for Video Games and Other Interactive Media”, which will be awarded for the first time ever next year.

The nominations for this Grammy category feature some heavyweight franchises like Call of Duty and Assassin’s Creed. Here is the entire list of nominations for the Best Score Soundtrack for Video Games and Other Interactive Media:

  • Aliens: Fireteam Elite
    Composer: Austin Wintory
  • Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Dawn Of Ragnarok
    Composer: Stephanie Economou
  • Call Of Duty: Vanguard
    Composer: Bear McCreary
  • Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy
    Composer: Richard Jacques
  • Old World
    Composer: Christopher Tin

The nominations feature a great blend of indie and AAA titles. Fans believe that there have been some snubs, with titles like Xenoblade Chronicles 3 not making it to the list. However, for now, players will have to accept one of the titles mentioned above being the first ever winners of the Best Video Game Soundtrack or Score award at the 65th Grammy Awards.

The winners for this award will be announced alongside other categories on Music’s Biggest Night, when the 65th Grammy Awards takes place on Sunday, February 5 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
