Vivo X90 to be powered by Dimensity 9200 chipset, appears on Geekbench
Vivo recently posted teasers confirming Mediatek’s Dimensity 9200 chipset for the X90 series. While the company did not mention that this chipset would power the vanilla model, if rumours are to be believed, the X90 will be powered by the Dimensity 9200 chipset.
The vanilla model– X90 – has also appeared on Geekbench with Dimensity 9200 and 12GB of RAM, scoring 1,353 points and 4,055 points in single-core and multi-core tests, respectively.
Vivo X80 Pro+ to reportedly debut as X90 Pro
Earlier this year, Vivo was expected to launch the X80 Pro+, though the launch got shelved, and now rumours have it that the said smartphone could launch as the Vivo X90 Pro. We can expect the smartphone to come with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, with some minor changes to match the rest of the X90 series.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 rumoured to power the Vivo X90 Pro+
The top-of-the-line X90 Pro+ is rumored to come with Qualcomm’s latest and greatest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset.
The new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset promises to deliver up to 35 per cent improvement in CPU performance, with up to 40 per cent increase in efficiency. The graphical prowess of the new Adreno GPU inside is said to be improved by up to 25 per cent.
What to expect from cameras on the Vivo X90 series
Vivo has confirmed that the X90 series will feature Sony’s 50MP IMX758 sensor, though it is not clear whether all three models will have it or not. The camera on the upcoming smartphones would be powered by the newly introduced Vivo V2 coprocessor.
From the pictures, it can be seen that the vanilla X90 would come with a triple camera setup, while the other two Pro models would have a set of four cameras, with one of them being a periscope module.
