Vivo’s next foldable may launch soon: Here are the details

Chinese smartphone maker Vivo is reportedly working on its next foldable device — the Vivo X Flip– which is expected to launch in China. The phone is likely to come as a successor to the Vivo X Fold+ that was launched in September.
According to a report by Digital Chat Station (via Weibo), Vivo X Flip is rumoured to debut soon in the company’s domestic market. The foldable smartphone is tipped to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. The phone is also said to resemble the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 launched in August.
Vivo X Flip may feature a horizontal folding display on a vertical hinge. The upcoming foldable phone is also expected to sport a secondary display at the back panel whereas the primary display is likely to fold inwards. Vivo X Fold: Price and availability
Vivo X Fold is priced at CNY 8,999 (approximately Rs 1,07,207). The smartphone comes in three colour variants– Black, Blue and Grey. The foldable smartphone is exclusively available for purchase in China.
Vivo X Fold: Specifications
Vivo X Fold sports a 6.53-inch AMOLED display at the front and the clamshell opens to reveal the bigger 8.03-inch foldable display. The smartphone flaunts two displays; both the displays are AMOLED, support 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10.
Vivo X Fold is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor paired with 12GB of RAM.
The foldable phone is backed by a 4600mAh battery and supports 66W fast charging and 50W wireless charging. It also supports 10W reverse wireless charging.
The smartphone comes with 50MP f/1.8 primary sensor with OIS, a 12MP f/2.4 2x telephoto lens, an 8MP 5x periscope zoom lens with up to 60x digital zoom and a 48MP ultra wide sensor.
Like the other Vivo flagship phones, the X Fold too comes with Zeiss optics and branding around the camera housing. Both inner and outer display features a punch hole that houses 16MP sensors.
