Destiny 2 Vow of the Disciple Raid is live now and every player is jumping headfirst into this raid. Through this raid guide, the players will understand the way to sail through the second last and last encounter in the Vow of the Disciple Raid. In this guide, the players will understand how to overcome the Exhibition Encounter and the Dominion Encounter with ease.
Exhibition Encounter
The third encounter will take place is in the Exhibition area of the Arena. Here the players will have to pick up a Resonant Shard to start the encounter. Once they pick up this, shard a Terminal Resonance effect will take over all the teammates and a timer for one minute will begin.
The players need to finish the tasks within the time limit or all teammates will be dead. 3 enemies will also spawn when the relic is picked up, a normal Glyphkeeper, a Resonant Glyphkeeper and a Taken Knight. The players will see that the Taken Knight has a force field around him which can only be taken down by the person holding the shard. Once the force field is taken out, the players will receive an extra 45 seconds on the timer.
Now for the symbols, the players will have to take down the Glyphkeepers. Once a Glyphkeeper has been defeated by the player holding the shard, they will see a set of 3 symbols. When the teammates defeat the other Glyphkeeper, they will see a different set of 3 symbols from the player holding the shard. Through communication, the players need to figure out which of the symbols from the 2 sets of 3 match and shoot that symbol one the massive door to open it.
Once the players enter the new room, they will be provided with two more relics, the previous one to take down the force fields and a Shield relic. The shield relic will be used by the players to cleanse their players off of Pervading Darkness effect as this effect will keep increasing while they are in the room.
In this room, the players will first need to defeat the Taken Hobgoblins to spawn the Glyphkeepers in the room. The same process will have to be followed with symbols, but this time around there will be 2 matching symbols and 4 sets of 3 symbols. 4 Glyphkeepers will spawn in the room, 2 will be normal and 2 will be Taken.
The players holding the relics will be able to see the symbols after defeating the Taken Glyphkeepers and the teammates will be able to see the symbols after defeating the normal ones. Players should first kill one Taken and one normal Glyphkeeper to get the first symbol and then the other two. Shoot out both the symbols at the door towards the end of the room to open the door. Communication will be key to getting this done quickly.
In the third and final room, the players will have to repeat the same process, they will be provided with the 2 relics they already have and another Taken Relic. The Taken Relic would be used to cleanse enemies as they are invisible at the start. Once cleansed, defeat them to spawn the Glyphkeepers, defeat the Glyphkeepers to know one matching symbol and do the same again until you have 2 matching symbols to shoot on the door near the end.
One thing to keep in mind is that after every 2 Glyphkeepers are defeated, a Taken Knight with a forcefield spawns. The relic holder should defeat this Taken Knight quickly to receive that extra bit of time. Check out the image below to understand the symbols used in this raid:
Dominion Rhulk Final Raid Boss
This is a difficult boss battle that will also include the use of Relics to overcome this raid. The first shard can be seen on the top of the boss, this needs to be broken to receive the Leeching Buff, once a player has it, they should go to the centre box to spawn 2 more shards on the left and right side of the boss. Breaking down these shards will provide the players that inflicted the last bit of damage with the Leeching Buff.
Players then need to change this Leeching Buff into an Emanating Force Buff, which can be done by taking the massive laser attack from Rhulk head-on. When the buff is changed to Emanating Force, the players can then progress ahead in the arena and will not be locked out due to the force field.
New Glyphkeepers will also spawn when the players move ahead. The same system will be followed, players and teammates will see different sets of 3 symbols on the right or left, they need to figure out which one is the same in both the sets. There will not be a door, instead, there will be several totems around the area with symbols on them, the players need to find the two totems with the matching symbols and deposit their resonance to progress further. The players will have to keep rinsing and repeating this process until the players have finished all the totems and have progressed further into the area.
The players will then engage in a boss fight with raid boss Rhulk. He has two types of attacks, a charging attack and a beam attack. The players will also see a shard at the back of Rhulk’s staff. They will have to break this shard to get the Leeching Effect buff. Once the buff is acquired every other player in the team will be able to see a symbol at the far end of the arena, they need to find the totem with the corresponding symbol and call it out.
The player with Leeching Effect will also have to take Rhulk’s laser beam attack head-on to convert this buff to an Emanating Force Buff. Once they have acquired the emanating buff, they need to deposit it at the corresponding Totem to unveil a weak spot on the boss. This process will have to be rinsed and repeated until all weak spots have been exposed and shot down.
Once that is done, the players will enter a full-fledged DPS battle with Rhulk the raid boss. Then the players will have to decide on an attack strategy and evade all his oncoming attacks properly to defeat Rhulk and complete the Vow of the Disciple raid in Destiny 2.
