Piyush ji, what does ‘Vishwa Hindi Diwas’ mean to you?
Hindi is the symbol of our country Hindustan. In the year in 1949, Hindi was recognized as an official language by the Constituent Assembly. We should utilize Hindi words in our day to day conversations to enhance it.

With the advent of digitization, do you think that Hindi has got a global positioning?
Yes, totally. With the changing times, these days, Hindi has started looking modernized. Testimonials to this are in the form of slang messages of languages on WhatsApp and other mediums. But, the flip side of modernization is that, these days, many youngsters are taking keen interest in Hindi, thanks to channels like YouTube etc… Its just that, despite having many resources for the language, we do not utilize them. What has also been observed is that, whenever a person speaks ‘shudhh Hindi’, he is considered ancient!

I think that there should be no difference in the two days. Hence, in my opinion, these two days should be combined and celebrated as one!

Even if Hindi gets declared as National language of India, I am sure that many will not still speak in Hindi.
