Simon Cowell, 62, and Lauren Silverman, 44, met in the Caribbean in 2004 when Lauren was still married to her ex-husband, Andrew Silverman. News of Simon popping the question was first reported on Tuesday, when the socialite was spotted running errands in Malibu with a huge diamond ring.
Simon popped the question while the couple were on holiday in Barbados, with their son Eric, seven, and Lauren’s older son Adam, from a previous relationship.
On Wednesday, the couple were spotted cycling on electric bikes in Malibu, and were approached by a photographer.
In a video obtained by The Sun, Simon grinned as he was asked to confirm the engagement news.
He quipped: “What do you think?”

This will be Simon’s first marriage and Lauren’s second who divorced her ex Andrew in 2013.
Lauren announced her pregnancy with Simon’s baby that year.
The couple welcomed their first child together in February 2014.
According to The Sun, Lauren burst into tears when Simon proposed, and while he’s previously stated he would never marry, he’s changed his mind after meeting ‘the woman of his dreams’.
