PSG face off against Real Madrid next week in the Champions League, and it’s been speculated that a defeat could lead to an immediate dismissal of the head coach.
Zinedine Zidane, who has been linked with the post before, is reportedly waiting in the wings to take over should the role become available.
Pochettino’s current contract at the Parc des Princes will expire in 2023, having taken up the option to extend his stay by a year following speculation linking him with a return to Tottenham in the summer.
He was said to be open to returning to Spurs during a lengthy process which saw a string of names linked with the role, before Daniel Levy hired Nuno Espirito Santo.
