WhatsApp: WhatsApp starts to roll out multi-device feature: What is it and when will you get it
A few months ago, WhatsApp rolled out a multi-device feature for all beta users. As it was the beta feature, it means that users had the option to opt-in and opt-out at any time. Now, the feature has reportedly left the beta state and it is heading for a stable release. As per a report by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is bringing multi-device updates for WhatsApp Web and Desktop.
What is WhatsApp multi-device feature
WhatsApp multi-device feature allows users to access the platform on multiple devices even if there is no connectivity on the primary device. Users can link a single WhatsApp account with up to four more devices.
Since the feature was first released, the Facebook owned platform has added several new improvements and fixes to make it work smoothly. Several users complained about issues in syncing data between linked devices and to address that, WhatsApp introduced a fix a few months ago. After the fix, if your device experiences issues in syncing data, the platform will automatically log your devices as a safety precaution.
When will you get WhatsApp multi-device feature
The report suggests that WhatsApp may roll out this useful feature with changes and improvements to all Apple iPhone users till the end of this month. Android smartphone users are said to receive the feature by next month.
Apart from this, WhatsApp has also started to release the message reaction for Android users with a beta update. The feature was in the works for quite some time now. According to the report, there are six reactions available for Android users – Like, Love, Laugh, Surprised, Sad, and Thanks. The feature is quite similar to the reactions that are available on Facebook and Instagram.
