WhatsApp working on new design for iPhone users

WhatsApp is reportedly testing a new design of contact information section for Apple iPhone users. As per a report by WABetaInfo, the Facebook-owned messaging platform has started to roll out a new beta update for iPhones.
The redesigned user interface is part of the beta update that brings the version of the app up to 2.22.6.73. If we remember, WhatApp rolled out a similar user interface of the contact section for business information in a previous update.
The report further reveals that although the redesigned contact information section is part of the beta update, a few iOS users are able to see the revamped user interface after installing the latest stable version. This indicates the company won’t take much time to bring the new UI in a stable update.
As per the screenshot shared in the report, the redesigned interface is the same as the one seen on business accounts info. The interface also includes a new search message shortcut. The only difference between the business information section and contact information section is the visibility of status updates. For those who do not know, you can view status updates shared by businesses in the information section, however, you can not do the same in the contact information section.
WhatsApp is also working on a new group voice calls interface for iOS users. References for the design change were already found in the previous beta updates for iOS and Android users. The report reveals the platform is adding voice waveforms for all participants during a group call. The voice waveforms are similar to the ones seen in voice notes.
The changes in the design are quite minimal but they provide a refreshed look to the page. The report further suggests that the new design is only rolling out to a few iOS beta testers currently, but the platform will expand it to more users in the coming weeks.
