Some Britons will get to enjoy two months of paying no Council Tax, depending on their payment plan. Are you entitled to a Council Tax break? And how can you check you’re not paying too much?

For some Britons who choose to pay their Council Tax in 10 monthly installments across the year, they can look forward to a two-month holiday coming up.

Many Britons will have a bill of precisely £0 if they have a 10-month direct debit plan with their council.

This will depend on your payment plan with your council, so check your Council Tax account online or any letters from your local council.

Traditionally those with a 10-month plan will not pay any Council Tax in February and March, meaning there may be a bit more cash in your pocket for those two months.
