Wild Hearts April 13th Patch Introduces Claw Blade Balance Changes, Fixes And More

A new patch has gone live today for Wild Hearts, the hunting game developed by EA in collaboration with Omega Force released earlier this year on PC and consoles, introducing some balance tweaks and bug fixes to all versions of the game.

The April 13th patch primarily focuses on rebalancing the powerful Claw Blade weapon, introducing changes to the claw gauge, such as the gauge no longer decreasing when performing Wingblade Spin Slash, reduced gauge consumption of the Wingblade Crescent Slash when the claw is lodged in a Kemono, invincibility frames at the start of this move when the claw is lodged in a Kemono and more.

The new Wild Hearts patch also brings fixes for known issues, such as one that allowed the Torch Basic Karakuri to be used at a wider range than intended by the developer, an issue with Talismans, and more. The full patch notes can be found on the game’s official website.

Since the game’s release back in February, Omega Force has been doing an excellent job supporting the game with free updates. Last month, a free patch introduced a new Grimstalker Kemono, three new quests, new Chat Stamps and Emotes, and more. The latest patches released last month for the game introduced a few performance improvements on all formats as well as CPU optimizations and AMD FSR support on PC.

While today’s update is very light in terms of new content, Wild Hearts is bound to be expanded before the end of the month with yet another free patch that will introduce the yet-to-be-detailed Limit Break system, which will probably be one gameplay system that will make the endgame more exciting.

Wild Hearts is now out on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S. You can learn more about this solid hunting game by checking out my review.
