In one last show of defiance against Wimbledon’s strict all-white dress code, Nick Kyrgios donned that red Jordan cap after his loss to Novak Djokovic.

In a tournament where compatriot Daria Saville revealed she had delayed her period over concerns surrounding the all-white attire, Kyrgios wore the bright red cap throughout the tournament when entering and exiting the court.

He even clashed with a journalist in a press conference when asked if he was “above the rules”, leading to the now-famous “you do you then, champion” quip.

Kyrgios had reportedly been warned to not wear the cap during the final, but swapped into it immediately after the match. He even received his runner-up plate from Kate Middleton while wearing it.

Portuguese tennis commentator José Morgado said it was likely Kyrgios would be sanctioned for the move.

“Big fine coming,” he wrote on Twitter.
