Woman claims she’s more attractive to men since embracing her grey hair

Elisa Berrini Gómez revealed that she had felt pressured to dye her greying hair for the past 22 years. But after decades of keeping up with her long brunette locks, she embraced her natural colour and realised that she now “loves herself” more. The Canadian woman even revealed that she now “gets hit on more” by men as young as 25.

Grey hair is a natural sign of ageing but for many women, it’s a dreaded change that comes with getting older.

Elisa Berrini Gómez, a 57-year-old implementation consultant from Montreal, Canada, felt this way when her hair started turning grey some 22 years ago, and decided to dye her locks brunette instead.

She admitted that the pressure to hide her natural locks stemmed from the idea that she thought men would not find her “sexy”.

However, it was only after she stopped using a dye that she realised this wasn’t the case, and that she is now more attractive with completely silver tresses.

Elisa revealed that she thought deep down that “grey hair equals old and this equals death”, so only “felt worthy” when the grey was concealed.

But now, she admitted that men are “super attracted” to her and her day-to-day life involves getting “hit on all the time” by younger men.

She claimed that suitors aged between 25 and 45 find her “sexy” because they think she is younger than 57.

In fact, she noted that some people mistake her for being just 45-years-old.

Despite noticing a clear difference in the attention she received before going fully silver, Elisa admitted that she thinks her confidence is what really makes her more attractive.

She said: “My grey hair is not what makes me sexy. I’m sexier because I’ve learned to love myself and have compassion for me.”

The implementation consultant noted that it took her time to get over an incident with her friend that made her self-conscious about it in the first place.

According to Elisa, her friend “screamed” while they were shopping and she noticed a strand of grey hair.

The woman admitted that she “felt horrible” and immediately turned to box hair dye as a confidence boost.

But in an attempt to disguise the grey shade, she realised that her hair was “no longer soft” and had lost its natural shine.

At this point, Elisa committed to stopping dying her locks altogether and embracing the new colour.

She said that now she is more confident, she is “having the time of her life” and urged other women to “keep rocking what you’ve got”.
