Microsoft continuously works on their gaming side to enhance the experience for the players and provide them with as much content as possible. Through the Xbox Cloud Services, players are already able to access games on their PC and Mobile device, but they do not want to stop there. Xbox wishes to expand their reach into the homes of their users through their upcoming device.

According to a report by VentureBeat, Microsoft is reportedly working on an Amazon Fire Stick type device for the Xbox. This device will act as a streaming stick that will stream TV services as well as games directly to the user’s TV. Xbox Streaming Stick will allow the users to stream games directly onto their TVs through the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

Not only that, the company has also partnered up with Samsung to provide an in-built streaming application in a Smart TV. The players will not need a separate device to stream games on their Samsung Smart TV, they can use the in-built application to get all the services that are available through the Xbox Streaming Stick.

Xbox keeps expanding on their cloud services and have added popular titles such as Fortnite to their roster to make it more appealing to the players. The Xbox Streaming Stick and the in-built application for Samsung Smart TV are still under development, but according to reports the device and the application should be ready to use in the next 12 months.

Many players have been wondering what this means for the future of Xbox and their consoles. Many have been wondering whether the company will be leaving their console business and become a streaming service. Well this couldn’t be more far from the truth, Xbox is working intensely on their upcoming console iteration, but providing such a streaming service to their user base is an added bonus. This service is a result of the Xbox Everywhere initiative, where the company wants their games available to play no matter where the player is.
