Xiaomi is expected to add another flagship smartphone to the Xiaomi 12 lineup soon. The Chinese smartphone maker might launch the Xiaomi 12 Ultra handset on July 5, according to a report by GSMArena. The company might start releasing “promos and teasers” of the upcoming device a week earlier on June 28, adds the report. However, the company has not confirmed the official launch date of Xiaomi 12 Ultra and is subject to change. Earlier reports suggest that the upcoming smartphone is expected to come with a unique camera module that will have the Leica logo next to it. The Xiaomi 12 Ultra is tipped to feature the latest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset which will also power the Asus ROG phone 6 series that is confirmed to launch on the same date.
Xiaomi 12 Ultra: Expected specifications
As per the report the Xiaomi 12 Ultra is expected to sport a 6.7-inch AMOLED display that will support — LTPO technology, Quad HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone will come powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor backed with 12GB RAM and 512GB internal storage.
The upcoming device is expected to house a triple rear camera setup that will include — a 50MP primary camera and two 48MP sensors. The rear cameras might also have a ToF lens and laser autofocus support. Xiaomi 12 Ultra is also likely to feature a 20MP front shooter for selfies and video calls.
Moreover, the upcoming handset might pack a 4800mAh battery unit that will support 67W fast charging and will boot Android 12 OS out-of-the-box.
