Xiaomi is all set to expand its affordable smartphone lineup with the launch of a new budget smartphone in India. The smartphone maker has officially confirmed the launch date of Redmi 12C later this month. The microsite of the smartphone is already live and it reveals a couple of features about the smartphone.

According to the official website, the Redmi 12C will launch on March 30. On launch date, the company will be offering buyers a chance to win a giveaway. Xiaomi hasn’t revealed the details about the event timeline or from when the upcoming smartphone will be available for purhase.
Redmi 12C: Specifications
The official website reveals that the handset will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity G85 chipset and the company is claiming it to be the “Fastest smartphone in its segment”. In addition, the handset will come with a 50MP dual rear camera setup and a physical fingerprint scanner at the back of the phone.
Redmi 12C will boast a 6.71-inch display and it will be backed by a 5000mAh battery. In addition, the handset will be available with up to 6GB RAM with Extended RAM support of up to 5GB.
The handset has already been a part of several leak and rumours which have revealed almost every single detail about the upcoming Redmi phone. According to the leaks, the handset will feature a 5MP selfie shooter.
Talking about the pricing, the Redmi 12C is supposed to be a budget smartphone. The handset has already launched in China and it comes at a starting price of CNY 699 (approximately Rs 8,400) for the base 4GB + 64GB variant. In India, we expect the pricing to around that only.
