Xiaomi has announced a new limited edition variant of very popular Redmi Note 4 in India, called Lake Blue at Rs. 12,999. The new Lake Blue edition is launched only in 4GB/64GB configuration and will be available for sale today starting at 12 PM via Mi.com, Flipkart and Mi Home stores and other offline partner stores as well.
Xiaomi has launched the all new Blue Lake edition of Redmi Note 4 under the ‘Wake the Lake’ project which will focus on cleaning the Kempambudhi Kere lake in Bengaluru. The company has partnered with Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and work with the local government to plant more trees, setting up benches, setting up solar lights, outdoor fitness center with children’s play area and toilets around the Kempambudhi Kere lake.
Speaking on launch, Manu Kumar Jain, Vice President at Xiaomi and Managing Director at Xiaomi India said, “We are a company who believes in giving back to the community. Water bodies have been the source of water for ages for people of Bengaluru but over the past decade, these water bodies have been facing serious threat. To show our concern for the cause we are taking up the maintenance of Kempabudhi kere, to support BBMP in bringing it back to its initial days of glory as a project under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. To commemorate this cause, we are launching Redmi Note 4 Lake blue edition which would further contribute to this cause.”
Xiaomi has recently rolled out Android 7.0 Nougat Redmi Note 4 smartphone with MIUI OS version MIUI 220.127.116.11 in India. The Android Nougat brings in features including split-screen multitasking, more customisable quick settings, improved Google keyboard, enhanced notifications and recent applications window etc.
In terms of specification, Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 sports a 5.5” full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) 2.5D curved glass IPS display with a 401ppi pixel density. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 625 SoC, as mentioned above the new variant is launched only in 4GB/64GB Memory options. Further more the storage can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 sports a 13MP CMOS sensor camera, equipped with PDAF (phase detection autofocus), an f/2.0 aperture, 77-degree wide angle lens, and dual-tone LED flash. The front camera sports a 5MP CMOS sensor, coupled with an 85-degree wide angle lens.
Connectivity options of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 include 4G with VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/g/b/n, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS, Micro-USB, and Infrared. Sensors on board include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, electronic compass, and proximity sensor. Redmi Note 4 battery capacity is rated at 4100mAh battery, and the new Xiaomi smartphone measures 151x76x8.35mm, and weighs 175 grams
