Dead Island 2’s PlayStation File Size Now Out; Pre-Load Date Revealed As April 19 Ahead of Its Launch
After eight long years of waiting, it’s finally time to gear up for the launch of Dead Island 2. Set to release this April 21, the file size of the game has now been revealed, along with the pre-load date. Here’s everything we know about these details of Dead Island 2.

The upcoming zombie slasher from Dambuster Studios and Deep Silver is set to launch on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC this April. It is already available for pre-order as well. It’s time now to get into the nitty gritties of it, like how much space will it occupy on your device, and how much sooner can you jump into the game and the like.
With that in mind, the PlayStation Game Size Twitter account has revealed the details of Dead Island 2’s file size and pre-load date. For the PlayStation 4, it apparently has a file size of 19.916 GB for Version 1.02. For PlayStation 5, however, it will occupy 4.219 GB for Version 1.000.002. The file size for PC and Xbox however is yet to be announced.
Here’s when you can pre-load Dead Island 2
As for the pre-load date, once again, it is PlayStation Game Size who reveals it as April 19, which is two days before the game’s global launch on April 21. Given the game’s size, it is expected that you can easily jump into the game with the launch if you pre-load it.
