Martin explained how he had been congratulated by the royals for earning his CBE.
He penned: “More than a little gobsmacked to have just opened my post today and found two letters from @royalfamily members!
“One from Princess Anne and one the Duchess of Cornwall.
“I’ve met both during consumer campaigning work.

He earned this for his services to broadcasting and consumer rights.
At the time, he shared on social media how honoured he was to have been given the award.
He penned on Twitter: “Wow. I’ve been upgraded! Shocked & thrilled to get a CBE
“Huge THANKS to all who nominated me, it was unnecessary, but lovely – and to all who follow & support my work.
