Valorant Champions Tour 2023 to Be Held in Japan; Reyna Dubbed as Most Played Agent and More

It is official. Valorant has announced the venue for Masters 2023, and it will be taking place in Japan. The decision has been made to bring the sport to new audiences around the world. It has been observed that through 2022, the Japanese Valorant community has grown substantially, with increasing fans for all types of events.

As of now there is no official date, but players can expect it to take place in June 2023, as it will follow the conclusion of the inaugural International League splits. In the competition, players will see the Top 10 teams from all the three leagues. An additional slot is being provided to the region that will emerge victorious at the LOCK//IN event in Brazil.

In other Valorant news, it has been officially announced that Reyna was the Most Played Agent in 2022. This information comes from a Twitter post by the official Valorant account. The post also features details of how players can get their own summary through Valorant Flashback. Interested players can check their mail to find the Flashback sent to them by Riot Games.

Lastly, Valorant’s Game Director, has cut ties with Riot Games and has now become the Game Director at Destiny 2 developer, Bungie. He posted on December 8 stating, that he’s experienced 12 great years at Riot, but now he has reached his last week with the developers. On December 19, he posted an update to announce that Bungie is his new home, and he is working on some new stuff that hopefully one day the players will be able to try out.
